Fiber Optic Trainer

This is for a Part-Time training position for our weekend Fiber Optic Classes. Our center offers modules for Fiber Optic Technician. Each module runs for 2 sessions/day from 9:00am – 7:00pm and are offered on weekend schedules (Saturday – Sunday) only.

Key Functions

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of learners.
  • Must possess a strong passion for teaching!
  • Develop and enhance training curriculum, exercises, and relevant training materials for fiber optic technology, covering fundamental concepts, network design, installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to individuals and groups, both in-person and through virtual platforms.
  • Awareness and knowledge of new emerging technologies.
  • Working experience in the IT Network industry is an advantage.
  • Provide theoretical insights and practical demonstrations of fiber optic components, tools, and equipment.
  • Guide participants through hands-on exercises, projects, and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning.
  • Incorporate industry best practices, safety guidelines, and the latest advancements in fiber optic technology into training programs.
  • Assess participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and address questions and challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve training materials and methods based on participant feedback and industry trends.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in fiber optic technology, communication protocols, and networking standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or equivalent.
  • CFOSH − FTTx − FTTH is an advantage
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working as a network engineer or any related position
  • Teaching experience is an advantage
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with fiber optic technology, including cable installation, splicing, connectorization, and testing.
  • Solid understanding of fiber optic theory, transmission principles, and different types of optical fibers.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic testing equipment, OTDRs, power meters, and other tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Ability to explain advanced topics in a relatable manner, catering to both beginners and experienced professionals.
  • Collaborative mindset, open to feedback, and committed to contributing to a positive learning environment.
 

Compensation Package

  • Php 3,000 – 3,500 per session depending on qualifications (Tax-Free)
